A little about Reflexology
and
Therapeutic Reflexology
The general term Reflexology relates to forms of foot massage practiced since ancient times as a therapy. The purpose of reflexology is to help restore the balance between all the body systems, stimulating under active functions and calming overactive ones. Because of its non-intrusive nature, reflexology will simply encourage those areas that are functioning correctly and not interfere in any way with their well-being.
More specifically, Therapeutic Reflexology is a modern Western therapy employing new, precise methods of reflexology, refined from the vast amount of knowledge and experience gathered on the subject over many centuries.

Since the late 1900's, there has been an expansion worldwide in the practice and teaching of Reflexology. Supported by more and more research, Therapeutic Reflexology is now enjoying increasing international recognition and accreditation.
In South Africa, Therapeutic Reflexology is accepted at government level as a registered profession health practice.
